A wonderful, absorbing read.
Hiding Eden Rain focuses on 34-year-old Natalie Rain, her 16-year-old
movie star daughter Eden and 11-year-old son Max. As the story opens,
Eden has begun receiving anonymous, threatening emails. It's been a tough
year for the small family even without this unsettling development:
Natalie's husband Benjamin, a police officer, was killed in a senseless
shooting. Now, to protect her children, Natalie decides to leave the
pressures and visibility of life in Hollywood for the tiny Minnesota town
of Morgan Falls. The family, using assumed names, is taken in by the
local residents, who soon become good friends. But trouble eventually
follows them and the threats against Eden resume. The mystery is
ultimately resolved in a surprise twist, but even as the small family
prepares to return to Hollywood and celebrity, they know that they, and
the people of Morgan Falls, will never be quite the same.
Writer Caryn N. Casey, herself the mother of two working actresses in Los
Angeles, writes with humor, clarity and sensitivity. As she evokes them,
the worlds of
Hollywood and a small Midwestern town are uniquely and equally rich.
The people of Morgan Falls are good, solid, warm and loving, and they
bestow upon their new neighbors the greatest gift one can bestow upon a
celebrity: privacy.
Early in the book, Natalie notes that "we make our own family."
The bonds that
form between good people who choose to be together in times of peace and
trouble, freedom and fear, provide the beating heart of Hiding Eden Rain.
By the book's end, we have come to care deeply about characters we would
welcome as our own friends and neighbors. In short, Hiding Eden Rain
offers us that finest combination: great characters and a suspenseful and
satisfying story.

I
want more!
Caryn Casey has done a remarkable job of writing a fictional story where
the characters are
engaging and real.
The characters in Hiding Eden Rain have come to life, and at one point I
was pretty sure that if I went to Morgan Falls, I'd find Clem at the
General Store! This wonderful
story draws the
reader in from start to finish
with its depth of character development and suspenseful plot. Hiding Eden
Rain is one of those books I couldn't put down...but then didn't want the
story to end. Once it did, I read it again to take in the details I may
have missed the first time!

Sit
back, relax and enjoy - a fabulous book from start to finish.
I was "hooked" with the first sentence. The
characters come
alive
and become people you really care about. I thought about them and the
story long after I was done reading the book. Do yourself a favor and
meet Natalie, Eden, and Max. Hiding Eden Rain is a book you will enjoy
reading while relaxing in the sun or curled up in front of a fire. It's
a wonderful blend
of humor and mystery,
and insightful, well developed relationships of the main character's
family and friends. Experience this book and then share it with your
friends.
